THE GREEN MILL JAZZ LOUNGE
photography date 1/15/26
First of all, to be fair and honest... the first time I went to The Green Mill was with some friends right before midnight. Let's say we were very happy to be there. It was a Thursday night so of course there was Jazz. Imagine this, we were all (5 of us) ordering drinks in what felt like a sea o people dancing right at the bar, luckily the bartenders there are on top of their game and they try their best to take your order fast. I ordered an Old Fashioned, of course. They still craft it with the original recipe. Sugar cubes, muddled with a cherry and yes you guessed it, a very generous amount of whiskey. By the time my drink is in my hand I realized there is no way I can see the musicians play, I can't even see them properly from the bar. I can just hear the jazz and feel the vibes. We were one drink and done, there was too many people for our taste but we left feeling like we were in the 1930's which I guess is the whole point.
